Incredible 3D Pencil Drawings by Nagai Hideyuki

The sketches below are all drawn by the 21-year-old Nagai Hideyuki from Japan. Inspired by British 3D street artist Julian Beever, Hide uses the same projection technique called anamorphosis which allows to create 3D illusion when viewed from the correct angle. At the age of 17, the artist wanted to become a cartoonist, but didn’t have the talent to draw comics. However, three years later, after seeing Julian Beever’s street art in the newspaper, Hide decided to create art in the streets of Japan. But he soon realized that it was against the law. This is how he ended up drawing on paper.

Top 10 Beautiful Street Art by Banksy

Asked about his technique, Banksy said: “I use whatever it takes. Sometimes that just means drawing a moustache on a girl’s face on some billboard, sometimes that means sweating for days over an intricate drawing. Efficiency is the key.”

Oh, wait! Maybe we should start by explaining who the heck is Banksy first of all?
Who is Banksy?

Banksy is a quasi-anonymous English graffiti artist. According to Tristan Manco, Banksy “was born in 1974 and raised in Bristol, England. The son of a photocopier technician, he trained as a butcher but became involved in graffiti during the great Bristol aerosol boom of the late 1980s.” His artworks are often satirical pieces of art on topics such as politics, culture, and ethics.

Solitude is indeed one of the most extraordinary drawings I have ever seen, and knowing it’s all been done with an 0.5 mechanical pen makes it that much more impressive. Fantastic drawing from artist Joe Fenton who has worked for several years in the film industry as a concept designer and sculptor for directors like Terry Gilliam and companies like Disney and Miramax. After studying sculpture at Wimbledon School of Art, Joe has worked for several years in the film industry as a concept designer and sculptor for directors like Terry Gilliam and companies like Disney and Miramax. Her personal work, executed in pencil and ink, are inspired by some of the early Surrealists like Hieronymus Bosch and Breugal.

Taking Pictures Without Any Safety Equipment

Be it climbing up as high as a 380-meter crane or a 22-storey building – two young Russians have got it all, and more, on their cameras and Alexander Remnov call themselves skywalkers, and take incredible, vertigo-inducing pictures of each other on top of the highest buildings in Moscow and some other cities in Russia.

Armed with no special protective equipment but a camera, these thrill-seekers plank on top of the Russian Academy of Sciences or enjoy a nocturnal panorama from a turret in the Kiev railway station just for a good shot. It’s hard to imagine what these guys feel, when their pictures are enough to make one dizzy.

Posting in his blog, Vitaly was extremely happy about conquering the tower of the Moscow State University, which is generally protected with security cameras and special entry codes:

“For three years, I thought that it is impossible to get here, but as they say – everything is possible, the main thing is to want it bad enough.”

Beautiful, but don’t take this as an encouragement!
